Michelle's blog entries have been thoughtless and sloppy now for a while, indicating fatigue with blogging. Nowhere is this more evident with this sorry excuse for a blog entry, basically tossing Valerie Plame to the curb much as her scum-bag friends in the Executive Branch and the right-wing media did a couple of years ago.

I'm wondering what would have happened if the roles were reversed. Say, for instance, that the democrats played dirty tricks in outing a CIA operative while they were in power? Wonder how ol' Michelle would have reacted then? I can hear that shrill unhinged voice bleating now.

Hurricane Katrina and the Blame Game

There is a lot of finger-pointing going on, principally because EVERYONE involved in this fiasco is to blame. Which means a lot of political and government official careers will be ending due to this tragedy. Of course, none of these politicos that are taking time blaming one another are dead...as are the thousands of people who were directly or indirectly affected by the very politicos' and government official's incompetence.

Meanwhile, we have bloggers on both sides of the aisle who are taking pot shots at some of the various players. The bloggers are the biggest joke of all...contributing nothing whatsoever to resolution of the underlying problem...the hurricane itself and its aftermath.

I stopped wasting my time with the bloggers some time ago. I am reminded why I don't bother to read their tripe anymore with this tragedy. They are a waste of space. The blogospere is not just out of control anymore, it is simply not relevant.

Power Line Shorts Out

What is so striking about the Blogosphere is the large number of both conserative and liberal blogs that preach opinion as gospel and build upon that gospelled-opinion to create it's "own truth."

Even more striking is the author's refusal to issue a retraction when the "real truth" is revealed and is in direct contradiction to the questionable blog's claim. Indeed, in many instances, the blog back-pedals in such a fashion as to make Michael Jackson seem like an amateur moon-walker.

Nowhere is that more true than at Power Line. Day upon day, Power Line claimed that the Democrats concocted the now infamous "talking points" memo as a "dirty trick," when in fact, it came from a Republican source.

Did Power Line issue a retraction? Hell no...they back-pedaled and made excuse after excuse after excuse for their poor research and shoddy reporting. Indeed, Power Line has a history of not retracting it's bogus stories.

Blogosphere better than the MSM, you think? Not in a million years, thanks to blogs like Power Line.

Politicians Sink To A New Low

Newton Minnow, in a famous speech, called television "the vast wasteland."

I would expand "the vast wasteland" to include the U.S. Congress. These individuals, to include both political parties and independents, are the biggest waste of space I have ever witnessed in my entire life. They are inefficient, ineffective, trivial, pathetic, money-grubbing, favor-seeking, corrupt, patronizing, condescending, and if that isn't descriptive enough: they don't serve the public, which is what their actual purpose is.

This week, they actually sunk to a new low. The Left Coaster describes it best in this article:

This week we witnessed William Frist, Tom Delay, and not a few Democrats as well, stooping to new depths as they kicked the virtually lifeless body of Terri Schiavo around Congress for personal political gain. In the process, they are trampling the Constitution, ignoring the nation's important business, and undermining the very 'rights' of state government conservatives once hailed as a hallmark of federalism. As the exasperated Rude Pundit exclaims, "What these disgusting, dirt-covered worms won't do to eat the flesh off the body politic."

This was indeed a ground-breaking week for Congress, wasn't it? If they didn't completely shit-can the week over the Terri Schiavo tragedy, they ensured nothing of substance was going to leave those hallowed halls by parading a bunch of steroid-abusing athletes up to the witness stand to take a verbal beating from a bunch of irrelevant old farts.

Over the many years of studying congress (little "c" intended), I came to the conclusion that they were a complete waste in 1987. That was 18 years ago. Nothing during that time period has convinced me otherwise; indeed, their actions (or more appropriately put, inactions) have only cemented that position.

Michelle, Why Are You So Disengenuous?

Transparency.

That is the word that comes to mind when I read a post on her web site like this. In her post, she references this news article, then proceeds to "cut and paste" those parts of the article that best support her position.

Of course, Michelle doesn't let the facts get in the way of her conclusion: "Truly outrageous." No, Michelle, what is truly outrageous is your pathetic attempt to sway those of us who seek the whole truth, not just your censored pap.

The principal did the right thing in stopping the "play" before any of the students filed into the auditorium. However, that act of common sense doesn't fit into Michelle's sense of skewering the principal to the way she sees fit. Her solution, of course, is to edit that little unfortunate event out of her flaming post. Can't have our villian seen as doing the right thing, now can we, Michelle?

Yes, there indeed is a "truly outrageous" act in this whole story. In this case, however, the story teller herself is the one that is "truly outrageous."

Felony Stupid

Michelle Malkin, that brilliant nuclear scientist, has done it again.

Ever paranoid of those dangerous Muslims, she delivered an ostensibly chilling, jaw-dropping, yet-again breaking story about directions on the Internet on how to build an hydrogen bomb. (!) Her incredible discovery was this article on the Arab News website, and she also referenced this post at The Jawa Report, whom, at this writing, still doesn't get that it is a decade-old joke.

Malkin took the story at face value, swallowing the hook, line, sinker, and, for that matter, the entire fishing pole.

Thankfully for her, she was able to wipe at least the yolk off of her face (if not the entire egg), as this guy came to Michelle's rescue, and apparently notified her of her miscue.

Gee, it sure is a good thing we have bloggers like her out there, to make sure the so-called "MSM" gets it right, huh? I just have no idea where I would get an accurate news segment without pristine, error-free, and accuracy-endeavoring bloggers like Michelle. My confidence in her is soaring.

I'm actually becoming weary of pointing out her mistakes, seemingly happening now every freakin' weekend. I work during the week, so God knows how many more mistakes she makes then. Thankfully, we have MalkinWatch to call her on her continual churning of pure crap. Then again, considering her track record of late, her website (and her credibility) will probably blow up of its own accord.

Malkin: "I Was Wrong."

"I was wrong."

With those three small, tiny words, Michelle Malkin attempted to cleanse herself of the vile hate she has been spewing for months in regard to the horrific slayings in New Jersey in January.

Malkin wrote no less then nine detailed blog articles on this tragedy, accusing everyone from "radical" Islamists to the "MSM" (mainstream media) of the crime and to subsequently soft-pedaling coverage of it, respectively.

Well, as it turns out, radical Muslims (nor anyone else, for that matter) were not targeting this unfortunate family because they were Egyptian Coptic Christians. This turned out to be a crime of opportunity, as a piece of trash living above the family killed them in a robbery gone horribly wrong.

Bloggers like Malkin are the main reason why there is so much hate in America these days. Unrestrained, these hateful bloggers feel they can write anything, and in so doing, are the "new age" in journalism.

These kinds of episodes, which are ever-increasing, remind us that the so-called "MSM" is not dead, and that they are still the only avenue of competent, responsible jounalism.

Malkin, as I am every so often reminded, is the one of the main reasons (perhaps the only reason) this blog exists.

Libertarian Phony

Well, if that don't beat all.

From Libertarian Hypocrite to Libertarian Racist to Libertarian Phony.

It appears that this guy was perpetrating a scam blog all along, posting the picture of an attractive, young blond girl, and calling his site, appropriately enough, Libertarian Girl.

Well, it turns out that the author of the blog is not the attractive, young blond girl at all. Indeed, the author is not even a female, but a 30-something man living at home.

This site referenced HIS site two previous times, both attempting to show the hypocrisy and racist arguments that the author portended. The fact that the author is somebody other than he/she pretended to be wasn't the issue, of course; the topic at hand was the issue.

However, it is totally within the realm of reality that the guy was a phony from the start. After all, the arguments were ludicrous on their face, and whether they were conveyed from a beautiful young female or an ugly middle-aged man is ultimately irrelevant.

What is relevant is that the guy seems to be taking an unseemly joy at being outed. My feeling is that the guy actually needs psychological counseling, and the sooner the better.

This insufferable bore will post petty about anything that tweaks her, and today's contribution is no exception.

She finds Clinton's noncommital position in picking a Super Bowl winner, simply because both cities are "democratic," to be "typical Clinton."

Hey, Michelle, did it ever cross your nimble mind that he cannot commit to one city without alienating the other? Does the name "Hillary" and the year "2008" come to mind?

Of course, Michelle's intellectual dishonesty once again catches up with her, as she failed to mention that Bush the elder picked the Patriots in a blowout, while Bill predicted a close game.

Final score: New England 24, Philadelphia 21.

Ann Coulter, Tucker Carlson, and Canada

Extreme, intense hatred has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass.

Take Ann Coulter, who cannot say enough bad things about our neighbors to the north. Of course, when issuing such venom, it might be a good idea to have your facts straight. In this video clip, dear old Ann is taken to task by the CBC's Bob McKeown for claiming that Canada participated in the Vietnam War.

Interesting that she refused to acknowledge that she was wrong. But then again, this is a common trait for people who have their head firmy stuck up their ass.

And we have this compilation of both Ann and Tucker Carlson ragging on Canada, and promptly getting stoned by other commentators and Canadian officials.

Do either of these blowhards know how petty and pathetic they come off as?

Michelle Malkin's Pettiness and Intellectual Dishonesty

Now, I have read Michelle Malkin's blog for quite some time, and I am continually amazed on how she can take an Internet article on some event, twist it to her point of view, and display such intellectual dishonesty without even the slightest nod to the idea of fairness or a twitch of conscience.

Read this latest load of bullshit from her. She's blasts the French for "partying it up," conveniently mentioning the " wines, baguettes and pate," and the "artist - a painter to keep an illustrated record of the trip," while completely ignoring the rest of the article, which so happens to illustrate the goodwill provided by the French:

The 1,000 or so French sailors and soldiers arrived in Aceh province on the island's northern tip two weeks ago. Their 11 helicopters and two C-160 cargo planes are airlifting rice and tents to isolated villages devastated by the Dec. 26 earthquake-generated waves, which killed at least 145,000 people in Asia and Africa.

Foreign Legionnaires are clearing debris left by the waves, rebuilding schools in Maleuboh and occasionally extinguishing fires that flare.

French doctors are treating the sick and vaccinating as many as 10,000 Acehnese children against measles. Many of those children had never been immunized against disease.

"The children are smiling again. This is a good sign," said Maj. Francois Masse, a veteran pilot of French relief work in Bosnia, Kosovo and Chad.

Michelle Malkin Has Far Too Much Time On Her Hands

As evidence, here is her latest diatribe.

Now, of course, these slimebags need to be dealt with. But her closing line "Whatever it takes, huh?," is emblematic of most of her litanies — she generally raises some petty anecdotal story, such as this one, and blows it WAY out of proportion, basically accusing the Kerry campaign of all sorts of horrific election crimes.

In logic, this is deemed to be a combination of fallacies which include "slippery slope" and "post hoc" arguments made by Malkin.

But then again, her whole blog is slippery, probably because it is so slimy.

CRACKPOT Christians

One thing I love about the Internet is there is always something (or someone) to write about, or more specifically, to crack back on.

Take Dr. James C. Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family. This (apparently) paranoid individual and the organization he founded has, for some reason, decided to attack a cartoon character, SpongeBob SquarePants, and accuse poor ol' SB/SP of conspiring with other cartoon characters in an insidious plot to turn all of our beloved children into flaming homosexuals.

This would be gut-splitting, floor-rolling laughable if it weren't so incredibly sad and stunning, because these nutjobs actually believe what they are saying is the God's truth.

Even after being figurately roasted and boiled in oil across the nation, these guys STILL defended their actions and their words, to wit:

We see the video as an insidious means by which the orgnization is manipulating and potentially brainwashing kids. It is a classic bait and switch.

I've seen the video. There are absolutely no references to sex, sexuality, or even the difference in genders. The video consists of a bunch of cartoon characters, including SB/SP, singing "We Are Family."

I'm too stunned to even shake my head.

Meanwhile, Michael Ventre hits the nail on the head with his commentary on the whole sad event, aptly describing these wonderfully tolerant individuals as CRACKPOTS:

Government Employees Conscripted As Lobbyists

Here is a scary scenario. (New York Times article; registration required.)

The agency's strategic communications plan says the following message is to be disseminated to "all audiences" through speeches, seminars, public events, radio, television and newspapers: "Social Security's long-term financing problems are serious and need to be addressed soon," or else the program may not "be there for future generations."

Conscripting government employees to do the political bidding of the White House is the most outrageous thing I can think of. It's one thing to carry out the law, it's quite another to sell legislation in the guise of providing a public service.

Liberals hate the SAT because it demonstrates quantitatively that people differ in intelligence, and they also hate it because the average black score is significantly lower than the average white score; the difference exceeds a standard deviation.

I really am speechless. There is very little to say, other than Libertarian Hypocrite's post is emblematic of the blogosphere: all-encompassing drivel stated as fact, without support...she doesn't provide such statistics that would back her claim that the "difference exceeds a standard deviation."

How much more of a hypocrite can you possibly be? Taking the very tax dollars in salary that most libertarians (you know, the ones that despise governments in any size, shape, or form) feel should never be collected in the first place.

Here's her "about me" entry: "I graduated from college in 2004, and moved to Washington, DC where I work for the government (which sucks for a libertarian)."

U.N. Haters Can't Bash Enough

It always amazes me how some people who are so bent on hating can't see through their own haze to see what good some organizations do.

Take Michelle Malkin. Her bent on the United Nations is now concentrating on certain volunteers who have committed sex crimes while in other countries acting on behalf of the U.N. Well, no doubt these acts are reprehensible, but to castigate the entire organization for the irresponsible actions of a few?

I suppose we should just go ahead and destroy the entire organization, huh, Michelle? Too bad for those most affected by the destruction wrought by the tsunamis, they'll just have to starve to death because the U.N. must be destroyed, by Michelle's thinking.
